Continuously monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
Assist in the identification, assessment, and response to security incidents and alerts. Document and report incidents and breaches.
Analyze threat intelligence data to identify potential threats and attack vectors. Assist in developing and implementing threat mitigation strategies.
Participate in internal and external security audits. Help in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Assist with maintaining security policies, procedures, and documentation.
Assist in the creation of security training materials and awareness programs.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into all aspects of IT operations.
Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field.
Familiarity with Information Security control frameworks and standards (CIS Controls, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
Familiarity of hybrid IT systems, networking, and cloud environments.
Team player with communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
Ability to write and present articulated documentation and processes.
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with information security tools and solutions (Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, etc.).
Familiarity with scripting and query languages (PowerShell, KQL, etc.)
Familiarity with reporting key operational, and program metrics designed to deliver transparency of compliance readiness, security framework alignment, program maturity and operations.
