Role: IT Security Analyst

Location: Newark, CA

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Pay Rate: $52/hr on W2

Description

  • Monitor computer networks for security issues.
  • Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
  • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
  • Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
  • Stay current on IT security trends and news.Develop company-wide best practices for IT securityHelp colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
  • Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of prior hands-on experience in cyber security or information technology discipline
  • Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Computer science or relevant work experience
  • Real world experience using at least one major SIEM system
  • Experience with log analysis, event correlation, incident management procedures and systems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking including knowledge of protocols and servicesSecurity Certifications (i.e. Security+, CISSP, CEH, SANS, etc.)
