Job Title: IT Release Manager

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and uphold release management processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate release activities across diverse teams, including development, testing, and operations.
  • Strategize and schedule release deployments to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Define release milestones and deliverables, monitoring progress against established timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize release content and manage scope effectively.
  • Communicate release schedules, status updates, and related issues to stakeholders.
  • Lead release readiness reviews, ensuring all criteria are met before deployment.
  • Manage risks and dependencies associated with release activities, implementing mitigation strategies as required.
  • Create and maintain release documentation, including notes, plans, and post-release reports.
  • Continuously refine release management processes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in release management or similar roles within the IT sector.
  • Strong grasp of software development lifecycles and release management best practices.
  • Exceptional project management skills, capable of handling multiple releases concurrently.
  • Proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with release management tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices is advantageous.
  • ITIL certification or other relevant certifications are a plus.
