Description

Jefferies seeks a smart, driven, curious person to join our investment banking team in the new role of Digital & Business Analytics Associate. You’ll work with investment bankers at all levels as well as members of our investment banking management team to extract insights from data we have about markets, our business, our clients, etc. The ideal candidate is looking to grow into a Product Management/Strategy role.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Familiarize yourself with our internal data sets and how they relate to one another
  • Work with senior management to uncover insights that will help support data-driven decision making around allocation of resources and overall business strategy
  • Analyze market data to uncover new business opportunities
  • Support efforts to benchmark our business against competitors and the overall market
  • Create appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and replicate the analysis if necessary

  • Interest in the investment banking industry
  • Overall curiosity for exploring and understanding new data sets with intention of being a product leader


Background

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information
  • Management, or a related discipline
  • 3+ years professional experience in a data analytics or business analyst role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant
  • amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience communicating with non-technical businesspeople to understand analysis sought
  • and explain the results


Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $95,000 - $130,000


The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
