The role:

We are seeking an Instrument and Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. We value self-starters who excel both independently and as part of a team, and who communicate effectively. Responsibilities include developing project schedules, estimating engineering man-hours and capital materials for front-end engineering design (FEED), and preparing specifications for control system hardware, programming, control narratives, network drawings, instrument indexes, I/O lists, datasheets, and other construction documents.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s)
  • Maintain Instrument Index and I/O Lists
  • Prepare instrument datasheets
  • Create control philosophy and control narratives
  • Write specifications for control systems and programming
  • Develop cause and effect diagrams
  • Conduct QA/QC of engineering and design documents and drawings
  • Provide weekly project updates to project managers


Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas or other continuous processing industries is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to collaborate with various project groups and managers
  • Seniority level
