Job Purpose and Impact
The Inside Sales Account Manager will, with guidance, sell directly to food manufacturers in the food & beverage industry offering. In this role, you will evaluate customer needs, suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions. The Inside Sales Account Manager will be an integral part of the sales team by handling incoming leads and questions from our website, helping plan tradeshows, and managing select cusomers.
Duties and Responsbilities
• Help identify potential customers and handle existing customer relatonships.
• Monitor industry trends, customer and competitor activity.
• Protect, grow and diversify the relationship
with targeted customers.
• Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization’s products and services.
• Help Sales Managers with entering Pricing
and Sample reqests as needed
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appopriate staff.
• Find new customers with business development activities
• Responsible for follow up and qualifying of all leads coming into the general corporate office number, our 800 number, and the website
• Coordinates new customer set-up, including new customer packet developmet and maintenance.
• Develop and deliver qualified leads to Account Mangers when warranted
• Assist in planning tradeshows and attending tradeshows
• Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization using Salesforce and e-mail. Demonstrates excellent presentation, oral, and written ommunication skills.
• Acts as a liaison between customers and cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Marketing, working to resolve issues as they occur.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three year of related work experience
• Ability and willingness to travel overnight up to 10%
• Proficient in the use of Salesforce
• Food Ingredient Experience preferred
