Role Summary

The person will be responsible for identifying, developing, and releasing NAR multimedia infotainment functions within the market. The responsibilities will consist of integrating new connected features into the VW infotainment systems including failure analysis, tracking, and implementation. Additional responsibilities include communicating with local and international business partners and providers.

Role Responsibilities

Connected-Infotainment Implementation and Integration (50%)

  • Responsible for identifying, developing, and releasing NAR multimedia infotainment functions within the market.
  • Frequent communication with VWAG partners and supplier on implementation of features.

Functional Error Management – (30%)

  • Manages incoming error reports, performs analysis, and distributes to responsible parties within project organization, and follows issues through to solution
  • Reports on error statistics for areas of responsibility.

Communicating with local and international business partners and providers (20%)

  • Frequent communication with local content providers for the NAR region
  • Frequent communication with internal and external cloud services teams for implementation of connected multimedia features
  • Frequent communication with international project teams for integration of connected multimedia features

Qualifications

Years of Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related engineering experience

Education

Required - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent

Desired - Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Skills

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic
  • Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written
  • Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software
  • Integration – joining people, processes or systems
  • Influencing and negotiation skills
  • Resource management
  • German skills written and verbal are advantageous

Specialized Skills - Required

  • Experience with automotive infotainment control module SW Development and Feature Design
  • Experience specifying SW Architectures and Features
  • Experience in connected services and connected application development
  • Experience with cloud development and authentication

Specialized Skills - Desired

  • Experience bringing SW functions to market
  • Experience integrating new functionalities into a connected environment
  • Experience with Volkswagen infotainment control modules
  • Understanding of vehicle communication networks

Work Flexibility

  • Travel to the suppliers and VW facilities
