Indian Education Program Specialist

Position Information

Under the direction of Director of Federal Programs, provides and coordinates various activities to maintain the Federally funded Indian Education Program.

Shift Details: 3.50 of hours per day / 180 Work Day Calendar

Continuing Position: Employees have reasonable assurance of continued employment to the following school year. However, an employee's total work hours and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Hourly Rate: $38.80 per hour (2024-25)

Position Type/Level: Professional Technical Employee Level B

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Public Administration, Communications, Cultural Studies, or related field; and
  • One to two (1-2) years of related experience. **
  • Human Resources may consider work experience, certification equivalency, and continuing education as an alternative to the degree when assessing this required qualification.

Licenses/Special Requirements

  • Must have a valid Washington state driver’s license.
  • Must have a reliable method of transportation.

Eligibility for retirement at the time of hire is determined by employees who work at least 3.50 hours per day in a continuing position.
