This position is a contract HR Manager role supporting the company's corporate staff. Provides general expertise to management on all areas of HR, or may be responsible for select functions within HR including employment, planning, and development. May also be responsible for training and new employee orientation. Duties may include promotion of good employee relations, development of training, safety, and health programs. The position will operate under the direction of the VP of HR.
Will provide HR manager support to the organization on a contract basis to provide maternity leave coverage.
- Support the corporate staff and remote team members as the point of contact for the HR department.
- Support HR initiatives and projects.
- Execute human resources strategies by establishing department accountability, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, employee relations and retention, and AA/EEO compliance.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to location leadership.
- Support HRIS data entry, payroll, and other administrative tasksManage talent review; support all talent and planning activities.
- Drive and support Employee Engagement Survey action items.
- Ensure HR processes are efficient and effective:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, along with corporate/company guidelines.
- Maintains employee files and records, attendance records, and assures completeness and confidentiality of documents.
- Documents training requirements; assist the development and presentation of training on various topics including supervisor development, skills training, and safety.
- Complete special projects by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information and developing written and verbal reports.
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related HR-discipline; or equivalent on the job experience.
- 5+ years related HR generalist or manager experience.
- HR experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office and HRIS skills (preferably Workday)
- A consistent track record for executing performance objectives and delivering results with minimal supervision.
- 3+ years in a Leadership role, preferably in HR environment
- HR experience with both hourly and salaried employees
