The role of HR Manager serves as the cornerstone for nurturing our talented workforce. As the inaugural HR hire, this position is critical in shaping our company culture and ensuring the seamless integration of new hires, comprehensive training initiatives, and effective performance management strategies. With a primary focus on hiring, training, and performance optimization, the HR Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and dynamic environment where every employee can thrive and contribute to our shared success.


Please note, this is an on-site role with the expectation of being in the office in Stuart, FL.


KEY REQUIREMENTS (DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU SPECIFICALLY POSSESS THE BELOW EXPERIENCE)

  • 3+ Years of experience in an HR Generalist/HR Business Partner/HR Manager role
  • 2+ Years of experience managing/creating training curriculum for Hiring Managers
  • 2+ Years of experience in onboarding and offboarding employees
  • 2+ Years using/managing a company HRIS/PEO software
  • 1+ Years of experience specifically in Recruitment/Talent Acquisition
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP Preferred but not required


Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, and assisting in the selection process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs within an eCommerce industry for positions such as warehousing, customer support, graphic design, marketing, and others.
  • Create and maintain onboarding/offboarding and training programs for new hires, hiring managers, and exiting employees including exit interviews.
  • Create and maintain an ongoing performance management program in conjunction with employee learning and development.
  • Generate basic HR data & analytics to support company decision-making utilizing the company’s HRIS/PEO.
  • Work with third-party vendors to develop, and administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and Paid Time Off (PTO) programs
  • Assist employees with HR-related inquiries and/or employee relations issues and provide documentation on company SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures)
  • Oversee the HRIS/PEO and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, company policies and procedures, and onboarding/offboarding information.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, providing support in adherence to the FLSA, ADA, and other state (Florida) and federal laws.


About You

  • Have been the primary user/liaison with an HRIS or PEO such as Zenefits, BambooHR, Justworks, or Rippling
  • Have experience within the eCommerce Industry in talent acquisition for various roles
  • Have been the primary HR for a company working in several facets of HR such as Benefits, Payroll, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Technical, and Administration
  • Have developed and maintained onboarding/offboarding programs
  • Have developed and maintained employee performance management programs
  • Have developed and maintained employee learning and development including Policies and procedures and new hire and ongoing training programs (i.e. on-the-job training, safety training, discrimination training, sexual harassment training, etc.)
  • Have worked closely and collaborated with Hiring Managers within various departments such as Sales, Support, and Operations, and have proven success
