Primary Duties
- Provides guidance and policy interpretation, formulates recommendations based on Company policy, procedure and practice, and acts as a liaison on matters pertaining to employee relations.
- Responds to employee inquiries, provides consultative services, and interfaces directly with vendor organizations in order to reach prompt resolution of escalated issues.
- Prepares or coordinates the timely completion of Human Resources employment transactions via interaction with supervisors/managers and Dallas Human Resources.
- Coordinates case management with the Company's workers' compensation and disability vendor to monitor claim processing and support the employee's return to work.
- Coordinates the local administration of the alcohol and drug testing programs.
- Identifies the need for new and/or modified policies, procedures, or programs to address changing business requirements and/or operational requirements and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Develops and assists with the delivery of Human Resources-related communications, presentations and training to supervisors/managers and employees.
- Collaborates with supervisors/managers in the employee selection process by networking with local referral sources, engaging outside recruiting resources, and participating in selection panel interviews with the hiring supervisor/manager.
- Keeps abreast of changes in Human Resources-related regulations and trends.
- Plans and coordinates employee events and activities.
- Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and two years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources administration; or
- A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and four years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources administration.
- Valid driver's license.
