LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experience HR Director for our client in the DMV area for a hybrid role. This position will work with the C-Suite to lead the HR function for a organization of 300 staff members in a multi-state setting.


  • Work alongside CEO and senior management to develop talent in the organization, plan succession, and establish key programs and plans.
  • Recruit, counsel, motivate, evaluate, train and schedule assigned staff.
  • Develop benefit and compensation strategies and review current plans and compare with industry best practices. Research new benefits/compensation programs or modifications of existing programs.
  • Address compensation and benefit issues.
  • Work with legal counsel to resolve issues as they are identified.
  • Develop, document and implement compensation and bonus plans. Use spreadsheet software to cost out various alternatives and pay-out scenarios. Develop and maintain salary band ranges.
  • Manage the administration and implementation of the corporation's Performance Management Plan process.
  • Assume the lead in gathering data and making recommendations for the Human Resources/Administration budget in the yearly budgeting process.
  • Act as a resource to management on issues regarding compensation and benefits and assist in evaluating labor contract compensation strategies.
  • Identify training and development needs and develop plans, procedures and programs to meet those needs.
  • Provide consultation to management regarding causes of organization problems and recommend and promote solutions, ensuring measurable progress.
  • Provide ongoing communication to all employees on compensation, benefit and training issues.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources
  • Strong consultative, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiation and administration
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy “Q” security clearance.
