Hotel Manager Job Description

We are seeking for professional Hotel General Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel operations, including but not limited to guest satisfaction, staff management, financial performance, and quality standards. Hotel General Manager will also be expected to excel in this role, you must be approachable and detailed-oriented with proven hospitality or management work experience. Our ideal candidate should also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee personnel including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance employees.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term business strategies and goals.
  • Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations to help improve customer service.
  • Collect daily deposits and maintain records of budgets, funds, and expenses.
  • Resolve issues regarding hotel services, amenities, and policies.
  • Organize activities and assign responsibilities to employees to ensure productivity.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate the hotel staff and ensure a high level of service and professionalism, monitor and review the employee performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Coordinate with external parties including suppliers, a payroll company.
  • Evaluate hotel performance and ensure compliance with health and safety rules. Ensure compliance with the hotel brand, all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including all departments.
  • Serve as primary liaison with hotel owners and corporate entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in hospitality, business administration, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in hotel management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of hotel management best practices and data entry software.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail.
