Role: Automation Engineer

Location: Greenville NC/ Holly Springs NC

Duration: Long term

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and develop project plans.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other automation devices.
  • Develop control strategies and algorithms to optimize system performance.
  • Perform system integration and validation testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams on automated systems.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in automation technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in automation engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong programming skills in PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMIs (Wonderware, FactoryTalk).
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to automation systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
