About Indee Labs

Indee Labs is a biotechnology startup backed by SOSV, Y Combinator, Social Capital and Founders Fund. The team at Indee Labs develops and markets Hydropore for more effective engineered cell therapies.

Indee Lab’s non-viral delivery platform, Hydropore, is a robust solution that overcomes the limitations and costs of electroporation, viral transduction, and other non-viral transfection methods. Hydropore is being developed in collaboration with 3 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies, various biotechs and leading research institutions including UC San Francisco, Stanford, Medical University of South Carolina, the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease among others.

We are seeking a Head of Sales to join the team full-time to accelerate the growth of Hydropore. Indee Labs is headquartered in Berkeley, CA, and accommodates hybrid work. This position will be located in the Bay Area and work travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Run the sales function for Hydropore starting with our Research Use Only instrument and chips in the discovery-stage cell therapy market
  • Take ownership of high-quality revenue growth and deliver measurable results using tools like digital marketing and industry-specific conferences
  • Take initial responsibility for onboarding new customers
  • Interface with science team to ensure customers are happy with their purchases straight out of the gate

Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate or Postdoc with 5+ years of sales experience for scientific instruments
  • Experience in growing sales for Research Use Only instruments especially in the cell & gene therapy market
  • Experience leveraging both traditional and digital channels to grow brand recognition and revenue
  • Proactive in using tools like LinkedIn to set meetings and grow sales
  • Familiarity with Hubspot CRM and other digital marketing tools
  • Comfortable communicating complex topics to a variety of people with different backgrounds
  • Demonstrated commercial success!

Preferred Skills

  • Project management experience
  • Interest in or experience with biomicrofluidics
  • Background or experience in cell culture, transfection and wet lab work
  • Ability to work independently as well as lead others
