Professionally mix and serve beverages for guests and members. Will monitor and report pricing and recipe discrepancies as noted. Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Conduct monthly inventory and maintaining inventory through ordering.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum three(3) to five (5) years experience as a Bartender
Previous beverage service experience in a luxury hotel, resort or fine dining restaurant preferred
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certified preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of ice, ice cream, mixers, liquid, alcoholic beverages, blender, coffee, espresso machines, and mixers
Must be at least 18 years of age (Georgia law requires that one must be over the age of 18 to dispense or serve alcoholic beverages)
Familiarization with Micros POS (point-of-sales) system
Ability to work simple math calculations
Must have ability to accurately handle money, make change, process credit card transactions
Proficient in Windows XP and Microsoft Office software applications such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Must have ability to courteously present information to people in one-on-one and group situations

Tasks/Responsibilities
Maintain Restaurant liquor, beer and wine stock at all times
Work with Wines & Spirits Manager to ensure an accurate wine list, both vintage & cuvee
Provide staff education on new products and cocktails
Order product through Adaco
Maintain Inventory
Provide cost analysis for all new cocktails
Maintain accurate pours throughout the restaurant for all spirits and wines
Hold staff accountable for maintaining Sea Island Beverage & Service Standards
Communicate with Restaurant Manager and Wines & Spirits Manager regarding issues with bar staff
Accurately order and record all supplies, merchandise and other item
Maintain a passing score on menu and beverage testing
Promptly open and close the bar
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storeroom
Prepare fruits, garnishes and mixes
Professionally and accurately mix alcoholic beverages
Assist service staff with using the proper garnish and glass for each drink
Set up and tear down all liquor and mixes for beverage functions
Count and charge all liquor for beverage functions
Perform cashier duties as necessary and complete function sheets in proper manner
Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system using guest/member cards
Responsible for all liquor at the assigned bar
Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation
Take reservations as necessary
Accountable for guest satisfaction by ensuring Sea Island’s standards are met; address guest concerns in a timely and efficient manner and implement
Check identification in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by following TIPS training
Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members
Record and bill orders accurately into the register system and process payments using guest/member cards in accordance with accounting procedures
Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one’s ability
If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
Physical Requirements
Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs intermittently throughout a shift
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards
Maintain compliance with Company Resort Professional Image Policy
