Description

Responsibilities

  • Participates in engineering related studies, processes, designs, inspections, and quality tests.
  • Provides support with testing and troubleshooting in a variety of engineering tasks.
  • Participates in assembling prototypes and ensures proper interaction of components.
  • Supports the gathering, recording, and maintaining engineering specific information.
  • Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to report and solve.
  • Supports the preparation of technical reports and analysis of technical issues. Ability to understand standards, specifications, and other documents to implement assigned tasks.
  • Works independently and collaboratively with colleagues to resolve complex issues.
  • Implement quality and process improvements.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

  • Education: Associate of Science degree in Electrical / Electronics Technology or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in related electronic hardware design/test environment.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics and datasheets.
  • Able to proficiently operate electronic measurement and analysis lab equipment (for example, oscilloscope, meters, analyzers, power supplies).
  • Able to wire and set up test equipment.
  • Perform testing in a development lab environment and perform hardware fault insertion testing.
  • Electronic component-level soldering experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to program automation control equipment (PLC).
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in reporting, and focused on work tasks.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Problem solving/debugging skills.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

  • Familiarity with design of Programmable Logic Controllers Input / Output devices and Central Processing Units.
  • Use and proficiency with Automation engineering systems (TIA Portal) is a plus- including fundamental LAD and SCL language programming.
  • Familiar with safety related standards or processes.
  • Use and proficiency with schematic capture tools.
