Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Assists persons served safely into programming area.

Attends to daily personal needs of persons served, as required.

May perform daily living skills, as requested.

Supports involvement of persons served with activities.

Serves lunch and snacks and assists persons served during meals, including feeding, if necessary.

Maintains a clean, safe work environment.

Provides transportation, as needed.

Agency Responsibilities

Supports the strategic planning process and may assist in developing the initiatives to achieve the overall mission and vision of the organization.

Participates in organizational committees and meetings as appropriate.

Adheres to St. Coletta organizational or departmental policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education And/or Experience

High School or GED education, plus work experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of training or experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: None

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Successfully passes the examination for nursing assistants and maintains credit hours as set forth by the examining board.

Driving Requirements

This position requires that an employee is able to drive for work purposes and must maintain a valid driver’s license with a past driving record that meets the standards set forth by the agency.
