Mercer is undertaking an exciting, large scaled initiative to establish a new target operating model and technology platform, designed to support ambitious commercial growth objectives. This multi-year program will involve partnerships with key strategic partners, designing a platform that will enable the business growth objectives and ensure that Mercer’s capabilities remain competitive and differentiated. This initiative involves bringing together multiple countries & regions across our Investment Solutions business to drive scale and reimagine our ways of working.

- This Strategic Initiatives Leader will service as a partner to the Global Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Solutions business.
- The role will have leadership responsibility for strategic programs designed to support Mercer’s commercial growth objectives and requires a highly organized and proactive individual with exceptional communications and leadership skills.
- This role requires a strong strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Initiatives will support the functional teams that support portfolio management, client service, trading operations, fund administration, client operations, risk management, alternative operations, data management, financial tracking analysis and strategic initiatives.
- Operations & Technology support of target M&A activity, including creating a playbook for due diligence, cost modeling and integration programs.
- The role will partner with regional Chief Operations Officers & Chief Investment Officers, and other counterparts across the regions to drive operational solutions for existing and new client segments, large client propositions and best practices across the global operation.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, project management, or a related field in the Investments industry.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards a common goal.
- Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion, including resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in driving organizational change and managing resistance to change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-making.
- Familiarity with the industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to the organization.
- Experience in leading strategic initiatives within a complex organization is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate ambiguity.
