Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Global Supply Chain Manager based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area, with remote work on Fridays. As a Global Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the supply chain, procurement, supplier management, inventory management, and managing two direct reports. Additionally, you will analyze data, develop strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency and ensure seamless supply chain operations.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze quotes and proposals for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for goods for resale B2B
  • Conduct supplier vetting and selection processes to ensure quality, compliance, sustainability and cost-effectiveness
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
  • Coordinate and monitor demand planning and forecasting activities to optimize inventory levels and avoid stock-outs
  • Generate and maintain accurate and timely reports on supply chain performance, costs, risks and opportunities
  • Establish and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for supply chain management
  • Manage complex bids and projects involving multiple suppliers, products, regions and deadlines
  • Provide project management support and guidance to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Support sales staff with product information, availability, pricing and logistics
  • Manage a direct report and provide coaching, feedback and development opportunities

  • Expert in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field are preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) are a plus
  • Minimum of five years experience in international supply chain
