Overview
Empire Office is currently seeking an experienced Global FF&E Supply Chain Manager to join our growing and dynamic team. Metro NY preferred, but remote will be considered. As the Global FF&E Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency, and excellence in the sourcing of FF&E solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain management, made to order manufacturing, factory relationships, QC procedures, global logistics, and a deep understanding of the hospitality/contact and residential B2B industry.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive global supply chain strategy aligned with company objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain initiatives with overall business goals.
Supplier Vetting and Management:
Identify and evaluate global FF&E suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements, with a special focus on overseas manufacturers/factories.
Qualify and vet overseas factories to ensure capabilities, experience, and quality align with production needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Recurring travel to visit potential/existing factories and supplier partners to establish/strengthen relationships and inspect production on active projects.
Logistics and Distribution:
Oversee international logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of FF&E products.
Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize distribution networks and minimize lead times.
Inventory Management:
Implement efficient inventory control measures to minimize carrying costs while meeting customer demands.
Develop and execute inventory replenishment strategies to ensure product availability.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes to uphold product standards, including raw materials, construction and finishing methods, packing and tagging procedures.
Collaborate with suppliers to implement continuous improvement initiatives for product quality.
Cost Optimization:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction within the supply chain without compromising quality or service.
Implement cost-effective measures and monitor key performance indicators.
Qualifications
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in FF&E supply chain management with manufacturing knowledge, and a focus on the hospitality and residential B2B industry.
Strong working knowledge of international, federal, state and local laws and affecting the procurement and importation of FF&E products
Proven track record of successfully managing global supply chain operations.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
