Position Overview

The Global Director of Sales Training is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive sales training programs that enhance the skills and performance of the global sales team. This role involves strategic planning, curriculum development, and continuous evaluation to ensure the training programs align with the company’s objectives and market demands. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales training, leadership, and a deep understanding of global markets. This candidate will be reporting to the VP of Talent.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a global sales training strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a global training team to ensure consistent delivery of training programs across all markets.
  • Lead and manager an instructional designer team
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify training needs and prioritize initiatives.

Curriculum Development:

  • Design and develop comprehensive sales training programs, including new hires, product training, sales techniques, and leadership development.
  • Utilize various training methodologies, including e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job training to cater to diverse learning preferences.
  • Ensure training materials are up-to-date and relevant to current market trends and company products.

Program Implementation and Management:

  • Oversee the implementation of training programs globally, ensuring consistency and quality across regions.
  • Coordinate with market leadership team and WFM to schedule and deliver training sessions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Conduct regular assessments of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve effectiveness and relevance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new training technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the training curriculum.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales and service team.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the sales leadership team, account managers, project managers, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment of training programs with overall business strategies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales training, with at least 5 years in a Director role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales training programs on a global scale.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in e-learning platforms and other training technologies.
  • Great Facilitation skills
