We are currently seeking a Global Category Manager to join our dynamic team and help us drive our global sourcing and procurement strategies. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that align with our company’s goals and ensure the seamless procurement of high-quality medical devices worldwide. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain efficiency, cost management, and supplier relationships on a global scale.

The Global Category Manager will have these responsibilities:

• Establish strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors internationally, negotiating global contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing while maintaining quality standards
• Prepare and present regular reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, providing insights into procurement performance, cost savings, and other relevant metrics
• Lead the purchasing function to ensure the acquisition of high-quality, electromechanical raw materials at competitive prices.
• Facilitate cross-functional strategic sourcing and supplier selection
• Possess a strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics, industry standards, and manufacturing processes related to highly regulated industries
• Excellent and professional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to sourcing and procurement.
• Travel internationally as needed to support global sourcing and supplier management activities.

The Global Category Manager has the following qualifications:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering) w/ 5-8 years of experience in procurement, category management, and/or purchasing
• Must have experience in a highly regulated, electromechanical manufacturing industry (automotive, aerospace, med device, etc.)
• ERP/MRP Systems experience is required
