Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Use appropriate approved materials and protocols to clean equipment
  • Consistently and accurately apply all Lock Out Tag Out procedures and protocols
  • Dismantle production equipment and associated equipment in preparation for cleaning and sanitizing
  • Clean, scrape, sanitize, and maintain machines, equipment, and structures using proper SOPs
  • Ensures equipment is free of grease, oil, residue, and other materials
  • Clean floors around machinery and elsewhere in the facility as assigned
  • Clean trash from docks, stairs, and platforms
  • Brush off or vacuum framework, motors, electrical boxes, pipes, etc.
  • Work in confined spaces and heights off the floor
  • Operate overhead hoists, and self-propelled aerial work platforms
  • Communicate with co-workers and supervisors
  • Meet timelines for completing hygiene projects to allow for all equipment to be cleaned as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule
  • Properly communicate and document task status in the Master Sanitation Schedule
  • Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation (Ex. MSS, SSOP, HACCP, AIB, etc.)
  • 1Follow JSA guidelines, plant rules and regulations, and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area environment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Housekeeping Practices
  • Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education And Experience

High School diploma or GED required.

Experience in a manufacturing type environment or related type work preferred. Knowledge of PFP machines and ancillary equipment a plus. Ability to communicate, reading and writing comprehension. Must have basic computer skills for data entry purposes. Ability to follow directions.

Job Specifications And Requirements

Will work in a manufacturing environment. The ability to see, read, distinguish letters and/or symbols, and following instructions. Ability to learn cleaning procedures for industrial equipment. Requires mechanical aptitude, near and far acuity vision. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to use hand tools and power tools. Must have legible handwriting. Requires the ability to communicate effectively with others. Overtime is required.

Standing, stooping, kneeling, twisting, bending, reaching, pulling for 6+ hours during 8 hour shift. Lifting required up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day. Tasks are performed in a manufacturing environment which includes noise and moving equipment.
