Eagle Technology Group is seeking a detail-oriented Functional Analyst who can assist in defining software requirements through process mapping, user story writing, capturing meeting minutes, and managing Government Due Outs for undefined government requirements.

This Functional Analyst position is focused on determining software requirements for a new large-scale single application that will replace a legacy system of systems. The key deliverables will be detailed Due Out Write Ups capturing undefined requirements, Meeting Minutes, Process Maps, and User Stories. Candidate needs to be very well organized and be able to communicate effectively with personnel from multiple organizations. This position is expected to be 90% remote, but candidates must be within easy commuting distance of Scott Air Force Base in O'Fallon, IL.

Missing a certification for this position? Eagle TG will work with candidates that are otherwise fully qualified to help them obtain required certifications such as CompTIA Sec+, ITIL, CISSP, and other required certifications.

Compensation is based on geographical location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining software requirements through process mapping, user story writing, capturing meeting minutes, and managing Government due outs for undefined government requirements.
  • This Functional Analyst position is focused on determining software requirements for a new large-scale single application that will replace a legacy system of systems.
  • The key deliverables will be detailed due out write ups capturing undefined requirements, meeting minutes, process maps, and user stories.
  • Candidate needs to be very well organized and be able to communicate effectively with personnel from multiple organizations.
  • Creates detailed meeting minutes capturing the client’s software requirement decisions
  • Cross-references software requirement decisions to existing Government due outs and identify new Government due outs for undefined requirements.
  • Manages the due outs in a tracker and updates each due out as the requirement is partially/completely defined.
  • Responsible for coordinating with the client to resolve open due outs via meetings, emails, and phone calls.
  • Creates Visio process maps based upon defined requirements captured in meeting minutes and closed due outs.
  • Creates meeting minutes and due out write-ups ensuring accuracy and professional standards.
  • Manages the publishing of meeting minutes and the due out tracker to stakeholders
  • Creates and briefs PowerPoint presentations to resolve undefined requirements
  • Supports business analysis, data architecture, and engineering teams as a software requirements subject matter expert.
  • Creates functional user stories in collaboration with the data and functional architects

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required
  • Current or ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance
  • Experience creating process maps using workflow stencils and/or BPMN
  • Experience writing user stories
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum processes
  • Experience writing detailed meeting minutes
  • Bachelor's degree or comparable job experience
  • Experience with IT systems requirements, analysis, and engineering
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as an active member of a cross-functional team
  • Experience with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

Desired

  • Experience with US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) or Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) business or C2 systems – specifically Ocean cargo movement
