Our client, an established retailer specializing in affordable clothing items for men and women. Their product assortment includes apparel, accessories, and footwear. They are looking to bring on a talented Freelance Sample Assistant to help assist with day to day needs.

$18/hr
Position Overview
The Freelance Sample Assistant role is an administrative function that supports the Merchant and Product Services teams. This Freelance Sample Assistant role receives and manages physical product samples, communicating with vendors, and leading Sample meetings.
Responsibilities Of The Freelance Sample Assistant
Use sample tool to track expected samples and communicate sample needs and due dates to vendors via email
Unpack boxes and organize physical samples by owner or Merchant
Receive samples in our sample tool. Find the correct sample record in the tool, record receipt, and print and attach a barcode to track the sample location
Digitize physical samples. Take images of a sample based on pre-determined guidelines and attach these images to the sample’s digital record
Manage the storage of samples which includes. Organizing samples in a dedicated sample storage spaces and update the location in the sample tool. As needed, respond to Merchant requests to temporarily “check out” samples from storage
Qualifications For The Freelance Sample Assistant
One year minimum related work experience and/or retail experience
Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Comfortable in an office environment, both working at a computer and doing physical activity (e.g., unpacking boxes, moving sample racks)
Must be a team player and able to be flexible/adapt as priorities and processes change
Good organizational and communication skills
Able to lift packages of up to 35lbs
Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED is required
