We are dedicated to helping rare inventors build their own enduring business, often investing in companies when they are no more than an idea.
Role Description
Antibody discovery is one of the highest leverage activities a biologist can do right now. The Founder will build an early-stage team ideally along these themes. Whether its building out a platform to screen for new types of biologics to discovering antibodies against hard and/or newer targets.
We are also open to other markets that are amenable to scalable business models.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and lead a new startup
Engage with KOLs from Axial's network ranging from university professors to industry operators
Conduct market analysis and customer outreach
Lead a tech licensing process, probably with a university tech transfer office
Manage and lead a diverse team of engineers and scientists
Drive fundraising and engage with VCs in Axial's network
Qualifications
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to lead a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Deep knowledge of software and patents
Experience managing & mentoring colleagues to successfully achieve objectives under tight timelines and with changing priorities
Salary: $150K (to get the company off-the-ground then scale it)
