Formulation Scientist

Job Title: Senior Formulation Scientist- Westchester, NY

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Formulate a range of rinse-off and leave-on products including feminine washes, lotions, gels, creams, and wipes to uphold the integrity of brand.
• Develop formulations for hair color and hair care products, supporting the continuity of our Men’s care and Men’s grooming business.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the chemistry of raw materials such as surfactants, polymers, emulsions, and gels.
• Evaluate formula/package compatibility and product stability to identify optimal prototypes for launch/re-launch.
• Troubleshoot and resolve formulation, stability, and process issues during prototype development and scale-up.
• Stay abreast of both U.S. and global regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with regulatory groups for the development and launch of OTC drugs and medical devices.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of formulation experience in skin care, personal care, and hair care industries. Proven experience in conducting stability studies, product evaluations, and understanding processing and scale-up processes.
• Familiarity with OTC regulations and global regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biomedical Engineering.
• Previous formulation experience in personal care products and a solid understanding of chemical functionality and processing.
