Job Description

QAD is seeking a knowledgeable individual to assist in providing daily Foreign-Trade Zone administration and oversight for key QAD client's.

Where You Be Working

This is a remote position. The only requirement is that the candidate must reside in the United States or a US Territory.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be administering foreign-trade zones for QAD clients. Activities will include conducting daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly processes required to administer a compliant and efficient Foreign-Trade Zone. The duties will include the following:

  • Prepare and file (submit) all daily FTZ admissions (e-214).
  • Prepare weekly estimates and entries to CBP (3461 & 7501)
  • Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual FTZ forms and reports necessary for FTZ operations are submitted and reviewed for accuracy.
  • Maintain proper record keeping required for management of the FTZ.
  • Operate the FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system.
  • Interact with Customs and Border Protection if necessary
  • Routinely update and report to direct management concerning activities related to the Foreign-Trade Zone.
  • Process and verify FTZ-related data.
  • Validate FTZ data against actual documentation as needed to ensure the accuracy of integration and information.
  • Provide compliance-related services related to customers for ongoing Foreign-Trade Zone activities.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience administering a foreign-trade zone, or related professional import experience in a real-world environment.
  • Experience creating 7512 in-bonds
  • Experience preparing and filing CBP Form 214
  • Understanding of HTSUS merchandise classification, and import transactions
  • Understanding of U.S. Import and export regulations and practices
  • Understanding of inventory control, receiving, shipping, and transactions that affect material flow
  • Have a working knowledge of logistics activities including import activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The individual should be self-motivated and be capable of working as part of a team or alone with little supervision.
  • Possess knowledge of logistics terminology
  • Experience managing professional customer service and maintaining customer success.
  • Experience multitasking, prioritizing, and problem solving
  • In-depth experience using Microsoft Office or Google Office Suite.

Compensation Package

  • Base pay range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 USD Annual (12 Months)
  • Placement within our pay range will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location variations as well as internal peer equity
  • This position is also eligible for an annual company performance bonus
  • U.S. benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and well-being programs
