Fleet Manager

The Fleet Manager will provide oversight and direction for the fleet program for all VoidForm vehicles. This position will be responsible for managing our fleet to ensure the safe and efficient transport of our products to customers. Oversees compliance by maintaining all license, registration, insurance, and other fleet related requirements. Develops objectives, targets, plans, and procedures for regulatory compliance. Evaluates and provides direction for programs to minimize physical and financial exposure from potential or actual risks. Evaluates and provides directions for safety training requirements.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs the following responsibilities in accordance with VoidForm policies and procedures, work rules, expectations, and behavior standards:
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles have proper licensure, registration, and insurance. To include compliance with all regulatory standards (D.O.T., local, state, and federal)
  • Maintains a robust reporting system that tracks budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and any other fleet requirements.
  • Makes recommendations to the Executive Team to reduce costs by analyzing contracts and other fleet management costs. Prepares data to highlight trends, analyze costs, and presents cost-saving alternatives for fleet operations.
  • Manage contract deliverables and coordinate project-related technical requirements with internal and external customers.
  • Works closely with the Safety Manager to facilitate and develop a safety program that satisfies all regulatory requirements and ensures safe transport of our products.
  • Manage an MVR program that ensures all drivers are legally compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Maintains a record keeping system for maintenance reports on various equipment, including vehicles, trailers, and forklifts. Ensures reports meet compliance requirements for all state, federal, and local regulations. Provides reports to management as required.
  • Establishes accident prevention programs and investigate incidents.
  • Coordinates with insurance providers and legal teams for accident claims and resolutions.
  • Develops and maintains accident reporting and record-keeping systems.
  • Stays up to date and ensures compliance with hazardous materials transportation.
  • Monitors and controls fleet operating expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Gathers estimates, submits purchase requests, and submits all purchase order requests in a timely manner, in accordance with VoidForm policies and procedures.
  • Acts as a good steward of all company assets and funds. Follows all VoidForm policies and procedures.
  • Implements driver performance assessments and improvement plans.
  • Develops and oversees emergency response plans for accidents, natural disasters, and other crises involving transportation and safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned based on experience, skills, and business needs.


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Training, and Experience Required)

  • Required: 5 to 8 years’ experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Logistics, Transportation Management).
  • Preferred: Proficiency in fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) regulations and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance related to transportation.
  • In-depth knowledge of problem analysis techniques (root cause analysis, analysis of alternatives, and forecasting).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions.
  • Experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic.
