Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, operations, and vehicle maintenance. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits package.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the entire fleet of construction vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
Plan and coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure maximum uptime and minimize downtime.
Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and vehicle performance to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
Manage a team of drivers and mechanics to ensure efficient and effective fleet operations.
Ensure all vehicles are properly licensed, registered, and insured.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of parts and services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fleet-related activities, including maintenance logs, fuel consumption, and driver logs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in fleet management, operations and vehicle maintenance.
CDL license a plus.
Utility industry experience a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management software (Altec and Terex a plus).
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to fleet management and transportation.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
