Fleet Manager
InfraHire is looking for a Fleet Manager (Mechanical Experience) in St Louis, MO
Job Summary: responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our vehicle fleet. This includes managing vehicle maintenance, coordinating repairs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing cost-effective strategies to enhance overall fleet efficiency. Responsibilities include the acquisition of new vehicles as well as the disposal of aging vehicles. Responsibilities include developing and executing a preventive maintenance program. Coordinating regular inspections and maintaining familiarity with all vehicles in the fleet. Responsible for ensuring the quality of all vehicle repairs and that they are performed as promptly and cost effectively as possible.

Responsibilities
Purchase and maintain vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet as needed.
Responsible for making the decision to lease or buy vehicles.
Responsible for ensuring that the fleet complies with all DOT regulations.
Responsible for developing a preventive maintenance program to ensure the reliability and longevity of the fleet.
Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the quality of all repairs.
Oversees all vehicle licensure and registration.
Responsible for finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits.
Develops strategies to maximize fuel efficiency.
Informs management of any maintenance or safety concerns as it pertains to Roofers Mart fleet equipment.
Maintains detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.
Monitors vehicle upkeep and ensures drivers are maintaining fleet and reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Provides reports to management in regard to budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress.
Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and suppliers.
Develops methods to decrease costs and improve efficiency.
Requirements
Experience as a diesel or hydraulic mechanic
Experience in fleet management
Preferred industry experience working within a fleet or within the transportation industry.
Preferred commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations.
Great written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to work with various departments.
Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivation, and training.
Expert knowledge of the best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and industry practices.
Analytical mindset and strong problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software.
Understanding basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed.
Ability to set and monitor a budget
Exceptional organization, time management, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail.
Team player and positive attitude toward customers and co-workers.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check.
