Financial, Operational & Product Pricing Analyst

Job Description

Overall and primary responsibility is to enhance the profitability of the company by the collection, analysis and reporting of key financial data. Based upon this information, position is expected to provide Senior Management with sound recommendations for process and productivity improvements, cost reduction opportunities as well as suggestions for increased Sales. Individual will also be relied upon to lead and/or assist in the implementation of such initiatives.

Responsible for the maintenance of all customer price worksheets ensuring that the updates to the price lists and QAD are performed concurrently and accurately. Support Sales Management in the analysis of product pricing including capacity planning analysis to ensure adequate capacity for the introduction of new products.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Updating customer price files on a quarterly, and as-needed, basis under the direction of the CFO.
  • Verify that QAD is updated consistently with product pricing.
  • Ensure that all raw material and component suppliers are maintained by Purchasing.
  • Review and analyze Capital Expenditure Requests (CER) including financial and operational justification related to new products. Coordinate and lead monthly meetings to review CER status with senior management.
  • Coordinate with the Quotation Engineers to transition New Product quotations to Engineering and Cost Accounting to complete the development of bills of materials (BOM), routings, standard costs, and MRP data.
  • Conduct analyses by part, customer and product lines and to make, and support, rational recommendations to improve company profitability.
  • Maintain, report and analyze inventory balances, including Obsolete and Excess, and calculate turns versus Plan.
  • Analyze monthly and YTD Sales volumes and report on Volume and Price variances by Customer.
  • Track raw material purchases to ensure 1) proper pricing from supplier and 2) if appropriate, that customer is charged for premium prices paid.
  • Coordinate and participate in VAVE meetings.
  • Special Studies as Required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Finance or Engineering or equivalent.
  • Five to ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
  • Attention to details and strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the operations in a team environment.
  • Able to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills. Experience in a systems conversion, a plus.
  • Valid Passport or work VISA. The position is based in Mission, TX but may require frequent work in the Reynosa plant.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, is preferred.
