Financial Controller

We seek a Controller to oversee our client's accounting functions. They will establish and maintain the Company’s accounting systems, policies and procedures. The position requires solid verbal and written communication, technology, analytical and management skills. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of US GAAP is required. A willingness to delve into the details and adapt to the needs of a growing company is paramount.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Accounting Function: Manage accounting, payroll, billing, AR, and AP. Hire, train, develop, and retain accounting staff.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare internal and external financial statements per US GAAP. Develop and monitor financial performance metrics and contribute to monthly variance analyses.
• Financial Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls.
• Audits and Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with project managers to develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models, providing insights into cost variances and profitability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's/CPA preferred
• 5+ years in a Controller or senior financial role

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with ASC606 and percentage of completion method
• Strong project cost accounting and financial analysis skills
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
• Experience managing financial and regulatory audits
