KEY PURPOSE:

The Financial Analyst will develop insightful financial reporting. This will involve partnering closely with Central Finance, eCommerce Planning and Commercial Teams, alongside Third-Party Reporting. This role will build your business knowledge and create strong relationships within the Global Finance Community and the Regional Leadership team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build understanding of department cost base across Speedo and Pentland North America
• Create analysis for department cost tracking.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with department leads across Pentland North America including becoming the go-to person for costs on Pentland North America Department Costs (i.e., Finance and Logistics Teams).
• Hold department leads to account, achieving tight cost control and accuracy of monthly forecasting.
• Work closely with Global Team to support the annual budget process for all department cost areas.
• Monthly outlooks and loading of budgets into systems.
• Become Super User for Hyperion and SAP and become an expert on forecasting upload tool, alongside SAP analytics capability to provide efficient cost analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting process for annual and long-term strategic plans.
• Generate weekly, monthly financial reporting.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis

This position will work closely with our marketing team and will include these marketing focused duties:

• Act as a financial business partner to the director of Marketing to support E.g., strategic projects, business case development, return on investment. Covering areas such as revenue, marketing campaigns, new product launches, OPEX, CAPEX.
• Develop, standardize, and improve financial models, business cases, analysis, reports, drive financial insights, and support monthly /quarterly /annual forecasting and budgeting process (i.e., support MBR, QBR, AOP, etc.).
• Collaborate with business partners to develop and implement strategies to drive growth and profitability.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Translate financial models and results to build impactful narratives.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the team.
• Ensure flawless execution of financial initiatives and projects.
• Guide teams from various departments in the successful execution of key initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization across the team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years’ experience in financial analysis.
• 4-year degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Gravitas and confidence to challenge teams across the organization, paired with the ability and willingness to get into the detail.
• Advanced Excel modelling skills.
• Presentation skills and experience creating meaningful decks that support decision making.
• Attention to detail ensuring both complete and accurate information.
• Excellent communication skills, articulating financial and non-financial information concisely and simply.
• Pro-active, open-minded with a flexible and agile approach; solutions focused and optimistic.
• Experience in the apparel industry preferred.
• Proactive, exceptionally well organized, and able to prioritize and multi-task behind areas adding value to Pentland.
• Able to liaise and influence and build relationships with people at all levels.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually

Base pay is a portion of our total compensation package and determined within a range that allows growth and development within your role. Your base pay will be determined based on experience, skills and qualifications.
