Financial Analyst

Our client is a leading provider of personal care products based in Fairfield, Connecticut. This hybrid remote position is onsite Wednesdays and Thursdays. The firm is conveniently commutable from NYC by train, with a short walk from the Metro-North station, or by car, located right off Interstate 95.

Overview:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for preparing various financial reports to analyze and advise on the company's growth and profitability. Key duties include conducting financial analysis, assisting in the monthly financial closing process, preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, communicating financial information to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and creating ad hoc reports as needed. This position reports directly to the CFO and will have high visibility across the organization.

Candidates for this role should be highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Provide financial support, management reports, and analysis to the management team.
• Assist in developing the annual operating plan and quarterly financial forecasts.
• Coordinate and prepare quarterly Board presentations.
• Support the month-end closing process and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications:

• Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to effectively convey analytical insights to senior managers.
• Excellent analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required; an MBA is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar environment.
