Role Overview
Reporting to the Director, HIAS Economic Advancement Fund, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing our finance and accounting functions. Working closely with organizational leadership and our fractional CFO, you will drive the development and implementation of essential infrastructure and systems to support our rapid growth trajectory over the coming years.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and management of streamlined financial systems, encompassing finance, accounting, budgeting, compliance, and reporting.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports and metrics for both internal stakeholders and the Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
Coordinate with auditors, manage bank reconciliations, and oversee accounts payable/receivable and loan management processes.
Facilitate the annual audit process and prepare financial sections for the annual report.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, managing filings and reporting obligations.
Collaborate with the lending team to forecast cash needs and reserves, supporting strategic financial planning.
Continuously enhance accounting processes and policies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and conduct staff training on financial policies and systems as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
4-6 years of experience in financial management, preferably in community lending or nonprofit sectors.
Strong background in fund accounting, audit, compliance, and budget management.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and ability to adapt to various technology platforms.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Additional Information
Salary Range: $80,000.00-85,000.00
Occasional travel may be required.
