We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual to join our Finance Team as our Finance Manager. Leveraging your experience with detailed reporting of financial and operating metrics, partnering with business leaders to build budgets and forecasts, and providing analysis to inform business decisions, the Finance Manager will provide direct support the group president(s) and operational business groups, as assigned, through information analyses, preparation of operational data/analyses for publication to various constituents throughout company (Management, Sales, Product Management, Operations, etc.) who rely on/benefit from the information to make informed business decisions. This Finance Partner is integral to the growth and success of Questex by acting as a subject matter expert and trusted business and financial advisor to business unit leadership.


As our Finance Manager, you’ll support Questex’s success by:

  • Assist the group president and business team in the monthly business financial review, identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements, annual budget process, periodic forecasting, and periodic analysis of operations performance
  • Preparation of annual budget, forecast updates, performance metric analysis (sales, margin, and customer data) for the business units assigned
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close process which includes month-end accrual analysis and submissions, revenue reconciliation, reclassing, monitoring general ledger bookings, and creating detailed expense analysis and commentary for senior management
  • Work with VP of FP&A to establish, maintain and track operational KPIs to enable performance management, deeper insights and predictability into financials, and create alignment with the long-term financial model
  • Partner with Businesses and Shared Service teams in determining financial impact due to product terminations, new product roll out, etc. and prepare periodic forecasts to update management on projected results
  • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against budgets/forecasts.
  • Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvements, and as appropriate, based on findings make proposal for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.)
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required by senior FP&A leaders

Your Experience And Education Include

  • 5+ years’ experience, with 2+ years in a similar role
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Limelight (or equivalent), Salesforce, Intacct (or equivalent) and Business Intelligence tools like Phocas, a plus.
  • Bachelors and/or Masters’ Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance, accounting or economics


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Senior Financial Analyst and/or Financial Analyst. Potentially an Associate Finance Manager
