Job Description

The Company is seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager to join our Finance and Accounting team in New York. The individual will

be responsible for assisting the office of the Controller with managing a number of daily, weekly and monthly finance functions,

including coordinating and supervising the monthly accounting close, reviewing periodic journal entries and preparing subsidiary

financial statements. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in regulatory reporting and/or financial reporting at a financial

services entity. This position will report to the Controller and Assistant Controller, supervise junior accounting team members and

serve as a liaison to senior management and financial teams in various locations.

Responsibilities

? Assist office of the Controller to ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements and

industry standards

? Coordinate and supervise the monthly accounting close process, including the performance of key accounting controls

? Perform detailed review of monthly account reconciliations and variance analysis MTD/YTD on an account level basis and

legal entity level

? Oversee general ledger account maintenance and data entry ensuring records systems are maintained in accordance with

GAAP

? Assist in the coordination of audits (internal and external) and review the audited financial statements and related regulatory

reports for various regions

? Review A/P invoices; monitor expense allocation and postings to General Ledger

? Collaborate with Operations, Information Technology and Compliance

? Respond to and/or lead special projects and ad?hoc requests

? Identify and implement efficiencies and process improvements

Qualifications and Experience Required

? Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting and 6+ years of financial services accounting experience

? Previous experience in financial accounting at a broker dealer, clearing firm, or financial services industry company

? FINRA Series 27 preferred or ability to obtain series 27 within a reasonable amount of time after hire date.

? CPA preferred

? Experience with the net capital and customer reserve computations pursuant to SEC Rules 15c3?1 and 15c3?3 is a plus

? Outstanding project management, communication and interpersonal skills

? Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail to ensure quality work

? Able to carefully manage multiple priorities as well as possess a strong sense of urgency towards meeting deadlines and

resolving open issues

? Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to effectively problem solve and make decisions

? Experience working in an extremely dynamic, fast?paced and results oriented environment, prioritization, and ability to

complete multiple projects simultaneously

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
