Finance and Accounting Manager

As we scale the business, we are looking for a Finance Manager to join us through this next phase of growth.

The Finance Manager at Conduit will be a vital member of our team, providing strategic financial guidance and leadership to support the company's trajectory. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing financial processes to drive efficiency, profitability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports. This includes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as investor reports
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and accounting standards across Canada, US, and Latin America
• Oversee cash flow planning and optimize liquidity management
• Manage foreign exchange exposure and mitigate currency risks
• Streamline financial processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency
• Formalize internal control and accounting policies ahead of financial audits
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement
• Provide relevant insights and financial advice to support critical business decision making processes
• Manage the company's budgeting process, including preparing, monitoring, and adjusting budgets to ensure financial stability and alignment with strategic goals
• Guide and support team members, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to the company's overall success

About you:

• Experience with cross-border payment, foreign exchange and crypto industries: strong bonus
• Startup exposure: while not mandatory, an understanding of startup environments and funding is a plus

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making.
• Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of leading high-performing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, globally distributed work environment and accommodate Eastern Time zone business hours.
