Position Summary:
Curio Bioscience is experiencing rapid customer growth driving the demand for high-quality customer training and technical support. As a Field Applications Scientist (FAS), you will be the primary scientific expert who interfaces with the company’s customers to help ensure their success and build a passionate and loyal customer base. We are looking for an FAS, to be based in the N. America, for onboarding and supporting our customers. The successful applicant will provide wet and dry-lab applications support and troubleshooting on Curio’s products in the life science academic and biopharma research settings. This position also has an important pre-sales function and works closely as a partner with the sales and marketing teams delivering technical presentations in person and via webinar. This person will help build processes that enable the growing field applications organization to provide excellence in support and delight our customers. In this role, you will:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers and be accountable for their success
- Train customers on our novel product, including the development of training materials, user guides, and how-to videos
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for customers in person, and via phone, email, and video conferencing
- Present pre-and post-sales technical seminars to small and large group audiences on the use and applications of Curio Bioscience’s technology
- Assist in the creation and review of technical materials including manuals, marketing collateral, and presentations
- Create and maintain customer contacts, technical support tickets, and related customer information in the company enterprise database
- Participate in new product development core team projects
- Provide voice of the customer to product management and R&D for product improvements and new applications
- Attend trade shows and scientific conferences
- Assist in target market segmentation and market analysis
- Be the champion of the company’s products
You have:
- M.S. or higher in life science discipline required with 3-5 to years of hands-on experience in molecular biology or biochemistry laboratory
- Prior hands-on experience with NGS library preparation methods, preferably with single-cell techniques
- Knowledgeable of NGS data analysis methods, with direct user experience desired
- Experience with preparing and sectioning tissue samples is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience delivering scientific presentations
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Ability to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly, superb attention to detail, and interest in scientific discovery
- Commitment to excellence in customer service
Travel: Ability to travel at least 50%
The Base Salary Range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000. Curio Bioscience considers various factors, including professional background and work experience, when determining base pay. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
