Executive Chef

You are a talented and experienced Executive Chef with a passion for creating high-quality, innovative dishes and providing exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will have the opportunity to be involved with the opening of five new food and beverage venues as South Seas continues to reopen after hurricane Ian. You will be setting the framework for the future success of the culinary team, food and beverage team and the resort as a whole.

Key Responsibility Highlights

• Oversee menu development and ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
• Train and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations
• Implement and maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with management to create menus for special events and promotions-
• Stay current on food trends and industry best practices
  
  

Qualification Highlights

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
• Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  
  

Hours: Flexible work schedule, 40-50 hours per week, weekends and holidays required
