About Our Team

Working in concert with the PGA Show Event VP, the Event Manager will work on the operating budget, sales, marketing and direct management of the Clubhouse segment at the PGA Show. The Clubhouse highlights all that golf facilities are doing to attract and retain members and bring new players to their course. Key growth segments are focused on all racquet & paddle sports, fitness and other club amenities.

About The Role

The Event Manager will provide strategic direction to assigned segments, create new business opportunities and develop relationships with relevant associations, key industry partners and potential sponsors. The Event Manager will create and execute Clubhouse focused plans and strategy that bring about achievement of strategic and financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Developing relationships with key associations in applicable categories, as well as other important industry connections, groups, influencers and partners.
  • Maintaining high awareness of industry trends, growth opportunities and other relevant issues.
  • Working with the marketing team on attracting current PGA Show attendees to the Clubhouse area of the Show. Will also focus on building new databases in relevant target categories to attract additional attendees.
  • Working with marketing and operations team on segment branding, layout and “look & feel”.
  • Working with the Sales Director to drive new exhibitor growth. Will prospect together to create new sponsorships and develop other revenue generating opportunities.
  • Identifying, implementing and developing new special events and programming for the Clubhouse area. This will include stage content, demonstrations and other educational and experiential activities.

Requirements

  • Experience and interest in the golf, tennis, racquet sports and/or fitness industries
  • Have knowledge of and experience with trade show management
  • Possess the ability to develop and analyze budget, marketing, and business plans
  • Be able to work cross functionally with supporting teams.
  • Have prior account management/sales or related experience
  • Have a high energy level; positive outlook; resourcefulness. Relationship building skills are vital. Must be adaptable to change. Travel may be extensive at times.
