Job Description

Job Summary:

This position is needed to support PeopleSoft HCM through transition of PeopleSoft HCM to HCM Cloud. Experience in technical support of HCM Payroll is crucial in order to provide guidance for moving UT Health’s payroll system to HCM Cloud. This position will be a member of the Enterprise Application Support Team in Business Systems Services and will work closely with staff in the Payroll Office in order to make this transition a smooth process. Under limited supervision, works primarily in ERP client/server enterprise application to design and develop all aspects of data conversion.

Job Duties

• Performs as key functional analyst and developer for an application, designs and develops solutions that support a department's business needs/issues and ensures data quality.
• Supports the production platform, develops new application functionalities, and modifies existing rules and applications.
• Works with the application owners outside of IT to maintain the day to day and cyclical operations of an application for budgeting and forecasting processes and reporting needs.
• Plans, develops, tests, and implements changes and new functionalities as requested by the application owners.
• Work with cross IT Teams and application owners to troubleshoot and resolve system issues and ensure timely resolutions and solutions.
• Stays current on all updates and patches.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Develop, test, and implement changes.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
  
  

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

Experience

Five (5) years of relevant experience; or equivalent education with eight (8) years of related experience is required.

Experience with PeopleSoft is required (preferred, 5+ years).

Preferred Experience

• Served as a key payroll application analyst and developer.
• Supported a production environment and able to troubleshoot quickly to overcome any payroll cycle challenges.
• Ability to advise functional areas to enable successful payroll production.
• Experience in developing and supporting payroll related interfaces.

Time Off - A generous leave program offers multiple paid leave options:

• Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.
• Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.
• Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment.
• Holidays: 12 set paid holidays each year plus three floating holidays, which can be used anytime during the fiscal year.
