Job Summary

As an Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) Manager at Trivium, you will play a crucial role in upholding our Core Values of Passion, Teamwork, and Excellence. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will oversee Employee Health and Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Sustainability programs within the facility.

Job Duties

  • Manage and oversee all Employee Health and Safety programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate EHS processes and requirements.
  • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis to prevent recurring EHS incidents.
  • Maintain EHS&S databases for timely reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and provide training on EHS&S programs.
  • Assist in creating and training on EHS&S-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Analyze data to enhance plant EHS&S Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Drive Sustainability data management and strategic initiatives aligned with long-term targets.
  • Act as the Environmental Management Representative for the site's ISO 14001 Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, EPA, State Agency).
  • Prepare internal and external environmental reports as necessary.
  • Update and uphold Environmental management plans.
  • Foster productive relationships with safety and environmental regulatory agencies.
  • Manage wastewater treatment processes and equipment operations.
  • Oversee air emission control device equipment and regulatory reporting.
  • Provide relevant reports and analysis to management.
  • Support the Corporate EHS Director and participate in EHS audits.
  • Collaborate with Operations Leadership to ensure safe and efficient material movement.
  • Comprehend and uphold Food Safety Policy, GMPs, HACCP Principles, and Food Safety Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in managing EHS programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Safety certification (CSP), Industrial Hygiene (CIH), or HazMat (CHMM) is a plus.
  • Proficient in liaising with regulatory agencies at local and state levels.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation abilities.
  • Capacity to lead, coach, and train teams effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and cultural alignment.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and personnel.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Willingness to work varying shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
