Enterprise Applications Manager

iSphere is seeking a candidate with proven technical expertise in the applications space, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for guiding the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of mission-critical information and software systems for a fulltime on-site opportunity in the Houston area.

As the IT Applications Manager, you will have the opportunity to oversee the delivery of IT application services across the company, manage key internal customer and external vendor relationships, and lead and develop personnel in a high-performance environment with a continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities include managing and overseeing day-to-day operations of the JD Edwards (JDE) ERP platform, working with internal customers and external vendors to define and communicate project milestones and service level agreements, soliciting end-user feedback for continuous improvement, and reviewing and analyzing existing applications for effectiveness and efficiency.

To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Systems Design or a comparable IT-related discipline. Equivalent work experience will also be considered. Additionally, you should have at least five years of experience with JD Edwards, proficiency with SQL or equivalent DBMS language, and extensive knowledge of industry-standard software applications.

We are looking for someone with strong analytic skills, a demonstrated ability to oversee software solutions, a commitment to quality in data and reporting output, and a willingness to learn how the ERP system works and how our end-users use the software. Knowledge of generally accepted finance and accounting principles is also desired.
