Job Description

Job Title: Engineering Shop Apprentice

The Engineering Shop Apprentice will assist the engineering team in various tasks related to the maintenance and upkeep of the country club facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPOSIBLIITIES:

• Serve as a runner for Engineers, assisting with daily tasks and errands.
• Refuel Engineering and Home Services vehicles and carts weekly.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of Engineering and Home Services vehicles and carts.
• Keep track of tools in the shop, ensuring they are properly stored and accounted for.
• Assist with carpentry projects as needed, including repairs and installations.
• Perform light plumbing work under the guidance of experienced staff.
• Support the engineering team in facilities maintenance and repair tasks.
• Ensure the safety of members and guests by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry and plumbing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering environment preferred. Basic knowledge of carpentry and plumbing

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Fluent English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is of those characteristics to fulfill the above objectives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
