Overview

This position is responsible for engineering electrical controls projects from design to commissioning with a focus in the municipal water and wastewater industry.

Responsibilities

Design electrical schematics for control panels, motor control centers, power distribution panels, and assorted wiring diagrams.

Create Bill of Materials for each project

Develop Control Narratives for the intended function of the project.

Read and follow project plans and specifications.

Support the control panel shop during the manufacturing process with design related questions.

Manage all project documentation per company standards and project specific requirements.

Communicate with customers throughout the design and construction phases of the projects.

Must Have

10 years of experience in a project engineer role (or similar) including design, implementation, and project closeout.

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or 2-year associate degree in Automation related field. Preferred but not required.

Direct wastewater experience or at least a couple of years of municipal experience.

Experience with electrical CAD Software.

Candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of co-workers, management, and clients.

Able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.

Experience with project management, covering initial concept/proposal, design, implementation, and closeout.
