Engineering Director - ETRMs

X4 Technology are working with a Global Consulting firm who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ETRM Engineering Director with a strong background in compliance, risk, Front Office Market Analysis and extensive knowledge of the North America Power and Gas business (ETRMs, ideally Endur). The role will lead the engineering community to make sure we follow appropriate client standards, and have consistency across projects. The current client base use a range of ETRM products, specifically ION RightAngle, Allegro or Endur.

We are looking to set up interviews ASAP and the initial contract will run until the end of December so a great project to see you to the New Year. The ideal candidate will be based in Houston and be available for some weekly onsite work and must be eligible to work via a W2 arrangement. The ideal scenario would eventually contract to hire.

Responsibilities

• At least 15-20 years' in industry, 10 years’ experience in Architectural Roles, 5 years leading portfolios for Energy Trading domain.
• Excellent understanding of the energy/commodity industry and business understanding of trade lifecycle of different asset classes such as crude, refined products, natural gas, NGLs, power, and data flow from front to back office.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and be able to talk top-bottom in the architecture and engineering stack.
• Experience with the entire Trading system landscape and capabilities around Life of a Deal.
• Experience architecting and designing ETRM services and capabilities, ideally within Endur.
• Recruiting talent and supporting the creation of high performing team.
• Hands-on demonstrable experience in architecting applications into Azure platform, ideally including migrations/re platforming of legacy.
• Hands-on architecting experience in building Microservices, Cloud Native applications, federated Data platforms (Data Mesh).
