SourceFactor's client is a technology company in the Property Technology (proptech) / Smart Buildings space. Through their SaaS product and engineering team, they work with large organizations to drive performance improvements, cost savings, and energy efficiency for commercial buildings.


We're helping them find an Energy Engineer to join the team. In this role you will be responsible for discovering building optimization opportunities via fault detection and diagnostics software, in-field energy audits, technical discussions with building operators, and analytics from other building data sources. You will work directly with our customers to quantify and demonstrate the value of our solutions.


What you will need to be successful:


  • BS in a related engineering discipline: Energy, Mechanical, Architectural, etc.
  • Experience and a strong interest in Sustainability, Energy Management, Energy and Resource Analytics, Smart Building Technologies, Building Controls Systems, Systems Optimization
  • 1-3 years of experience in energy auditing or engineering or MEP or HVAC system controls would be ideal
  • Experience with Building Automation and Central Utility Plant
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (this role will include presenting findings to other teams and customer executives)


This role requires all candidates to be US Citizens due to the security requirements at some of our clients' facilities.
